Back-Half Rendering.
Using Inventor 2009 I drew up the rear frrame section I'm gonna need to fab. It's all 2" x 4" x 1/8" wall thickness with a 1-1/4" x 1/4" thick shock support and some c-channel as a frame tie in back. It should be hella strong once I box it into the existing frame!
Custom Tubular Motor Mounts (Stainless)
I made up a set of "fabbed" motor mounts because I don't want to run the "stock" style ones in an engine compartment this cool! They are 1-1/4" SCH40 Stainless tube with a 2-1/2" Tube for a Poly bushing. They aren't to scale yet because I don't have the motor fitment quite figured out, and thus no real motor mount specs.
It's gotta sound as powerfull as it looks.
Man, I love working at a Stainless Shop!!! This is the right side exhaust that I will make AT WORK (my boss rules!) for my truck. The tubing is all T-316 Stainless steel polished inside and out (drop pieces, I pay scrap). The first section is 3" O.D. feeding into an electric cutout. After that it is more 3", a thrush stainless glasspack, and then a 3" turndown. This route is going to be insanely loud! This is where the cutouts come into play, I have a couple neighbors who don't appreciate window shaking POWER! So if the cutout is closed, exhaust flows through a handmade Y-Pipe into some more 3" (ya, I got alot if it), into a thrush fully welded turbo muffler, into some 2-1/2" and out through some 3-1/2" summit tips. If you're wondering, it's gonna be "Straight" about 90% of the time!
Keep A Look Out: Valve Covers Needed!
OK, I know it's like the last step for a build, but I'm looking for a very specific style of fabbed aluminum valve covers. If you see them anywhere while you're browsing sites, just pop a link in the forum. Thanks!
